Today I’m thankful for ravens on a cloudless day and for the ability to be in the right place at the right time. I saw one raven sitting in the tree and ran downstairs/outside with the camera to get a shot. It flew off the tree and onto the ground out of view before I got the camera set up. While I was waiting for it to fly away, a friend flew by to say hello. This is a stack of 10 images.
Big red ball. These clear skies are killing me.
I spent a lot of time waiting for a raven to fly by.
A storm front moved in late in the afternoon and made for a good sunset. By the way, I confirmed today that this is a hackberry tree. [Common (Northern) Hackberry Tree (Celtis Occidentalis)]
From Snowhenge to Easter Island. I like how the color in the clouds is the same as the color in the snow.
Snowhenge! I’ve had this idea in my mind for months, and I finally got to follow through with it because of the storm that hit us last night. I had to rebuild it twice because the wind knocked it down before I could photograph it. The second image shows it falling down for the third time. I am working on a time lapse video and will post the link when it’s finished.
